1 Dashboard

Where your California day starts.

The first ten minutes of your day — everything that moved overnight, today's calendar, your tracked portfolio. One screen, no hunting.

The dashboard isn't a homepage dressed up — it's an operating surface. Sign in once and the bills that moved overnight are already triaged, your tracked portfolio shows what changed, today's calendar tees up the hearings, and your assignment queue is sorted. No "where do I start" moment. The morning is already underway.

  • Stat cardsBill introductions, amendments, and your tracked portfolio — refreshed live, no manual reload.
  • Tracked billsWhat changed overnight, sorted by recency. “NEW” pills flag bills that moved while you slept.
  • Calendar railToday's hearings, upcoming deadlines, the rest of the week — without leaving the dashboard.
Plus, on every page Slide-out bookmarks · Ctrl+K bill search · Help in context
2 Real-Time Intelligence

Know the moment it happens, not the morning after.

California legislation moves fast. By the time a daily news email lands, the vote has already happened. RTG closes that gap.

RTG never blinks. When a vote is called on the Assembly or Senate floor, the result is in your portal — and on your phone — within minutes. No batch jobs. No overnight updates. No "we'll have it tomorrow."

  • Live ActivityReal-time floor voting on the Assembly and Senate. Chamber state, on-call votes, live activity on tracked bills.
  • NotificationsIn-app, email, SMS, and calendar alerts for bill events, hearings, votes, and amendments. Each user controls their own channels.

3 Find & Track

From 4,000+ bills a session down to the dozen that matter to you.

4,000+ bills introduced per session, across 180+ hearing days with 2,500+ amendments. Plus existing law. Finding what matters and understanding it quickly is the whole job.

Curate a portfolio across clients, issues, or members. Set positions. Assign to your team. Find legislation by bill number, keyword, or the section of California code it touches — then track it in one click.

  • FindCtrl+K opens a quick palette for bill-number or keyword lookups from anywhere in the portal. The full Find Bills page adds California law-code lookup and deeper filters.
  • Track or bookmark inlineFrom any search result: bookmark to come back to it later, or track to commit. Both available in one click, no navigation needed.
  • My BillsFilter, sort, and manage your tracked legislation. Save default views. Hand off to reports.
4 Bill Pages

Inside every bill, a workspace.

Find Bills gets you to the bill. The Bill Page is where the work happens — every angle on one bill, all in one place.

When you click into a bill from anywhere — the dashboard, a search result, a votecard, a notification — you land on its workspace. Set positions and assign your team on Manage. Read the Summary in 30 seconds. Compare amended versions side-by-side. Walk back through the timeline of every committee action.

  • Bill PagesEvery bill has a deep-dive workspace: manage, info, text, compare versions, related law, analysis, support & opposition, votes, timeline, and documents.
  • AI summaries & briefsEvery long bill and committee analysis is AI-summarized. Brief in ten minutes, not Sunday night.
5 Team Workflow & Strategy

One workspace your whole team — and your clients — work out of.

Multi-person policy teams need shared context — who's tracking what, what's our position, what are we telling the board on Friday. RTG replaces the spreadsheet-and-email duct tape.

Workspaces share positions, tags, priorities, and assignments across a team. Votecards let you whip a docket together — solo, as a workspace team, or as a cross-customer coalition. Calendar sync, tags, and workspace settings keep everyone working out of the same shared context.

  • VotecardsWhip your bills, solo or together. Anticipated positions per legislator, attributed notes, anticipated-vs-actual scoring once votes happen.
  • Calendar & DeadlinesHearings, deadlines, session dates. Two-way sync with Outlook, Google, and Apple Calendar.
  • Settings & WorkspacesWorkspace administration: users, groups, tags, clients, classification options for organizing work across multiple priorities or accounts.

6 Reports & Publishing

Reports your board reads. Without the Sunday-night formatting.

Saved searches turn into polished, branded reports — run on demand, scheduled on AUTO, or auto-published to a client portal you can hand over with one link.

Build the report once: pick the columns, set the layout, pin a category icon. Then choose how it ships — AUTO runs it on a schedule, DASHBOARD pins it to a team or personal home view, PORTAL publishes it to a public RTG Reports site your clients can bookmark. Stale and Never-Run flags surface anything that's drifted, so nothing rots quietly in a folder.

  • Drag to reorder · click to categorizeYour most-used reports stay at the top. Click the icon to set a category — visual sorting at a glance, no folders required.
  • AUTO publishingToggle AUTO and the report runs on schedule. Daily, weekly, or on session-day. Delivered to your dashboard, a client portal, or both.
  • Dashboard pins & client portalsPin to TEAM DASHBOARD for the workspace, MY DASHBOARD for personal, or push to a branded RTG REPORTS portal that's just a URL to share.
  • Stale & Never-Run flagsRTG flags reports that haven't run in a while or have never been run, so the docket stays trustworthy.

7 Who's Who in California

Bills don't move themselves — see who's moving them.

A bill is only half the picture. The other half is the people behind it — legislators, committees, and the Capitol staff you actually call.

Every Assembly and Senate member, with full profile and bill activity. Standing and select committees with membership and jurisdictions. Capitol staff — the people you actually call when you need a question answered before a hearing.

  • LegislatorsSearch every Assembly and Senate member with full profile, contact info, district, committees, and bill activity.
  • CommitteesStanding and select committees, membership, jurisdictions, bills referred.
  • Capitol StaffStaff contacts attached to legislators and committees — the people you actually call.
8 Organizational Directory

Every position they've taken. In one place.

A bill author tells you what someone wants to do. An organization's full position record tells you what they've actually done — every Support, every Oppose, every time they've switched sides.

Pull up any tracked organization and see their complete legislative footprint — every Support, every Oppose, every time they've Switched sides, every bill they're actively moving on right now. The kind of intelligence usually buried across hearing transcripts, staff analyses, and PDF letters — surfaced in one stat-card view, drillable to the individual bill.

  • Position historyEvery position an org has ever taken on California legislation. Filterable by session, committee, position type.
  • Switch countsTrack how many times an org has flipped position on a bill mid-session. Useful intelligence on which orgs you can negotiate with.
  • Actively movingWhat the org is engaging on right now — current bills with live positions, current session only.
  • Frequently alignedWhich other orgs tend to land on the same side as a given org. Strategic intel for coalition-building.
9 Votecards

Whip together. Solo, team, or coalition.

Most CA bill-tracking tools don't do collaborative whip counts at all. RTG ships all three modes — and they share the same data model, so a personal whip count can be promoted to a team or coalition card without re-entering anything.

For each bill on a votecard, mark each legislator with a 6-option anticipated position — Confirmed Aye / Staff Aye / Unknown / Staff No / Confirmed No / Lay Off — and attach short field notes. Every position and note is attributed to who set it, and when. When the vote actually happens, RTG scores anticipated against actual.

  • Personal modeYour own anticipated positions and notes — solo whip counts that scale up when you grow a team.
  • Workspace teamShared positions, attributed notes, everyone editing the same count without overwriting each other.
  • Cross-customer coalitionWhip counts that span organizations across separate RTG accounts. Architecturally unique to RTG.
  • Anticipated-vs-actual scoringKnow exactly where your whip count was off — and which staff intel was reliable for next time.

Search every registered lobbyist, firm, employer, and $5,000+ spender — sourced directly from California's CalAccess registry and refreshed daily.

  • Cross-references everywhereClick a lobbyist to see their employer. A firm to see their clients. An officer to land on the org they run.
