What is Real Time Gov?

Real Time Gov (RTG) is the California legislative tracking software for advocacy teams: associations, contract lobbying firms, unions and solo advocates. It is the chamber view for everyone who isn't in the chamber.

How fast are RTG's floor vote alerts?

RTG sends California Assembly and Senate floor vote results to your phone within minutes of the vote, by SMS, push or email. You are told when a tracked bill goes on call, and again when the result is in.

What is a gut-and-amend, and how does RTG catch one?

A gut-and-amend replaces a bill's contents while its number stays the same. RTG labels every amendment as non-substantive, substantive or gut-and-amend, and notifies you once the amended version is published and analyzed.

How is RTG different from CapitolTrack?

Both cover California only. RTG adds live floor vote capture, positions tracked over time, a cross-referenced lobbyist registry and whip counts shared across organizations.
