RTG never blinks. So you can.

RTG watches both chambers live, so you don't have to watch the session feed. When you know you will be told, you stop checking. We call it the legislative slipstream: the session pulls you along instead of pushing back.

The Legislature is in recess. RTG is not.

The 2025-26 session recessed September 1 and the Governor's deadline passed September 30. The 2027-28 session convenes December 7, 2026. This is what keeps running in between.

Questions people ask.

What is Real Time Gov?

Real Time Gov (RTG) is the California legislative tracking software for advocacy teams: associations, contract lobbying firms, unions and solo advocates. It is the chamber view for everyone who isn't in the chamber.

How fast are RTG's floor vote alerts?

RTG sends California Assembly and Senate floor vote results to your phone within minutes of the vote, by SMS, push or email. You are told when a tracked bill goes on call, and again when the result is in.

What is a gut-and-amend, and how does RTG catch one?

A gut-and-amend replaces a bill's contents while its number stays the same. RTG labels every amendment as non-substantive, substantive or gut-and-amend, and notifies you once the amended version is published and analyzed.

How is RTG different from CapitolTrack?

Both cover California only. RTG adds live floor vote capture, positions tracked over time, a cross-referenced lobbyist registry and whip counts shared across organizations. It is one all-inclusive plan with no add-ons, and you can switch off whatever you don't want to see. See the full comparison →

How much does RTG cost?

$100 per user a month, or $85 billed annually, with lower rates at 5 and at 10 seats. Every full seat includes the complete product. Optional read-only Gallery Seats for clients, boards and executives are $19 a month, and annual plans with 3 or more full seats include one for every full seat. The trial is 14 days with no credit card. See pricing →

Who is RTG for?

Teams that work California legislation. A two-person firm and a statewide association get the same whole product, each set up its own way: fields renamed, unused features switched off. If you don't work California legislation, RTG isn't built for you.

Try it on your own bills.
